Job description Role: Associate in AI Data Science Location: Delhi Project: Central Government JOB SUMMARY: The Organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join the team and contribute to the development of data- driven solutions under the Digital India initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, natural language processing, Generative Ai with the ability to extract insights from the large datasets, develop predictive models, and build scalable data processing systems. This role Is critical in leveraging data to enhance e-governance services and improve decision-making processes within government agencies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Analysis and Modeling Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights. Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support various e- governance projects. Perform data mining and statistical analysis to inform policy decisions. Build NLP pipelines for document analysis, entity extraction, and semantic search across government datasets. Optimize embedding models and vector databases for multilingual content (Hindi, English, and regional languages). Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems combining dense and sparse retrieval methods. Data Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout data processing activities. Optimize data architectures for improved performance and scalability. Documentation and Compliance: Document data workows, models, and methodologies for transparency and reproducibility. Ensure compliance with government data protection and privacy regulations. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. A Masters or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is highly preferred. Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science and/or data engineering. Proven experience in handling large datasets, building data models, and deploying machine learning algorithms. Exposure to big data technologies and cloud platforms is advantageous. Certication: Certications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Big Data technologies will be an added advantage. Skills and Competencies: Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java. Prociency in SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch). Hands-on experience with transformer models, embedding techniques, and vector databases (Milvus, Qdrant, Pinecone, etc.). Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen). Experience with distributed computing frameworks (Apache Spark, Dask) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. Analytical Skills: Strong statistical and mathematical modeling capabilities. Ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills. Ability to design eective solutions for complex technical challenges. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and stakeholders. Team Collaboration: Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional team environments. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work eectively within diverse teams. Understanding of E-Governance: Familiarity with Digital India and e-Governance frameworks. Awareness of government data policies, privacy standards, and compliance regulations.
